Masala vada in the Air fryer

Ingredients:

1 cup Channa dal ( soaked for 5-6 hours)

1 cup grafted potatoes ( I used frozen hash brown – micro waved them for 6-8 minutes)

1 bunch cilantro- thinly diced

1 bunch mint – thinly diced

5-6 medium spiced green chili- thinly sliced

1 medium sized red onion – diced

1/4th cup curry leaves chopped

2-3 inches ginger grated

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 tablespoon black pepper corns coarsely ground

Salt to taste.

Procedure:

In the food processor add washed and strained Channa dal and pulse until it’s coarse, now add all rest of the ingredients ( except microwaved hash browns)and just pulse few times so that everything mixes well.

Now mix micro waved/ boiled potatoes in the mix and make even size balls and make a shape of vada, and place in the air fryer basket.

Air fry these at 350 for 10 minutes, after 7 minutes, I turned them on the other side and kept them for 3 more minutes. Came out perfect.

I used cusinart air fryer
