And a brief update on my end. I definitely feel much lighter now and so far have lost about 5lbs. I am able to keep up my 4 mile walk every evening and able to do only about 15 minutes walk after breakfast and 30 minutes after lunch. My BP numbers seem to be doing better, especially when I check right in the middle of work when things are quite hectic or right after a rigorous walk. It’s between 120-125/81-85. Earlier the upper number would easily be 140.

My results:
My dark circles around my eyes lighten up. I think I was consuming too much salt.
I have more energy through out the day.
Thanks to the program.

I am so blessed to be in this program. In just one month, I dropped my body fat percentage 1.3%. All because of exercise and no oil diet. On the 9 th. I go to do labs and can’t wait to see the results
Thank you.

I lost also about 5lbs. I am active at least 3x a day (1hr). I struggle to do the prior breakfast activity as I get up rushing to do things for family.
I take the SOS diet seriously for myself. Hard to clean up pantry and freezer when others in house still want the junk food. And don’t want to change.
I feel lighter and more energized. I tend to get up much earlier and sleep early. I am no longer constipated. I am more mindful in my eating. I do not snack which was my biggest downfall. I like the Indian spices and dishes which I now make.

Something very striking for me is my knee pain- gone completely since past 3-4 days! Of course it may be too early to rejoice but for now I feel as though there is hope that it is gone forever. Why and how I asked myself? Why did it begin?- I was a couch potato to the extreme for past 2 yrs with very minimal bursts of walking for a few weeks. Yes 2 yrs I mostly sat and watched TV because I was not in mood to take care of myself because my son was going thru a stressful period and I could not take my mind off him. How did it go away- I am back from his apt to my home and I have decreased my food every night to just veg with 3 small spoons millets/ brown rice and walking post both meals for 1 hour, gardening for most of the day( weeding) or cleaning inside house, sleeping at 10:30 or 11:00 max before it was late night movies. What can I say. Just simple moving around and eating less did it!! I mean this pain was BAD!! It came on fast and it was like if you had surgery and trying to recover but only for squatting. Now no pain squatting at all! I can squat all the way down and get back up without having to hold anything or put my hands on my legs Wow ! Thank god. Of course my meals r not as amazing and inspiring as what you guys r posting but it is 98% no oil, no dairy etc. etc. no breakfast ever. Biggest change since past 1 week is less stress, sleeping early, WALKING whole day, NO TV at all 😄( no time for it since I love gardening), staying out in sun to get any benefit I can get out in the sun ( I don’t care if I get dark!), eating less.
Sirisha, want to say Ty again from the bottom of my heart! Everything you post is seen by 3 others in my family. Since the day we began this program with you, you have been slowly and steadily leading us thru this lifestyle supplementing with testimonial videos consistently . You did not start grand and slow down towards the end- I really like that you r so sincere. It motivates and pushes us. May god bless you and your family with good health and happiness!🙏

Dr. Sirisha,
My main goal was to control my diabetes and reduce my A1C
However your program contributed much much more which I now realize. I am mindful as to what I put in my mouth. I insist on eating more fiber in my diet. I am not afraid of eating fruit because I know which ones to eat and portion control. Lol I put flax seeds in everything I eat.
I sleep early and start my day early. Due to the activity in now incorporate in my day I am sleepy by 10 pm. People say I am old now, but I say I need my rest and I am listening to my body.
I enjoy more of a variety of foods and spices. Eating more beans and lentils, sprouts and fermented foods.
I no longer eat what used to be our regular bread which had 5G of sugar.
My cravings have stopped.
I lost weight, inches and fat percentage.
Knowledge is power, and you empowered me and I am grateful and appreciate you very much I my life. You made a huge impact to my Heath which has a ripple effect on several small components which creates a whole new me eg. More emery, good sleep. Happy and positive outlook in life due to exercise. More creative in the kitchen. And lots more. Love you for this❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I have to share too. We as a family starting to make changes since November, and Sirisha has been so wonderful to guide. We have seen tremendous change cumulatively
Weight loss yes , I have lost total 12 since last 12 months ,
Energy : what a difference, that’s the first change .
My sugars l👀 :: each week better
I am not able to stick to exercise 100 percent yet
Thanks for inspiring each other again
Keeps me going
Eating out has come down and even if I eat out , it’s always that balanced !

More recently- I walk 1 hr. after lunch/ dinner, sitting only very briefly during day and watched only 1 movie in past 2 weeks, sleeping at 10:30 at most but 10:00 works best for me.
Eating with mostly zero oil and no snacking on nuts
👏, no junk food at all in house and no eating out since past 2 weeks.
Lost about 5 lbs. , sleeping better, fitting into clothes better however I have 15 lbs. to loose since my goal is go to the lower end of my normal. Have not checked my BP but don’t feel different and have not been able to reduce salt because of cooking for everyone at home.
What i want to do but have not done yet consistently- exercise, yoga, decrease salt – one way is to eat salad in evening but i have not done so yet!
Doing good with- taking vitamin B12, vitamin D and biotin for hair/ nails.
Stress- i have learnt to tell myself “ all is well” everything happens for the best and it seems to help a lot.
My husband, kids, parents, brother’s family have all made significant changes to their diet. I told them I plan on living a healthy life till 100 yrs old and want my loved ones to live with me or I will be sad and lonely! That brings out a laugh every time

Dr.Sirisha thank you so much for doing this. I have been in this chat for almost 5 weeks but was always quiet because I never trusted myself that I would continue on this path. I have been through numerous diets , exercise regimens , yoga pathways .. you name it. But never stuck to one and even when I did it was a struggle. For the first time I have hope that I can get better. It’s not just the weight but the fact that I feel happier and healthier is what counts for me . I have had hypothyroid for almost 2 decades. For more than 10 years I have suffered from debilitating hives. I was diagnosed with chronic idiopathic urticaria an auto immune disorder..They would break out if I am exposed to sun , did not sleep well , stress and just about anything. The only ‘medicine’ that gave me relief were steroids and I was on constant low dose of steroids for months at a time . My weight ballooned and I started having fatty liver issues , A1C hovering near 6. I was mentally prepared to become a diabetic . Whole plant based diet gave me hope . I have had doctors tell me that my constant steroid use made me vulnerable to liver issues and weight gain and that I should eAt well and exercise. I tried but what I was doing was not enough. Been on intermittent diet for atleast a couple of years . That never made any difference and any pound or two I lost was easily regained and the cycle continued. In the past 5 weeks I lost close to 10 pounds , blood pressure when from 120-125/80 to 107-110-75 range , had an episode of hives just once. This life style has given me hope and hope was in short supply for over a decade for me . It helps that my husband is a staunch believer of this and he is my biggest cheer leader. I have had sympathetic doctors tell me what to do but you are the first doctor that held hands and walked me through this . It is easy for me to see that you are eating is what I am eating and that it’s not a mystery for me anymore . I want to thank you for doing this . You made a difference for me! With this post I am ‘outing’ myself !😀
Dr. Sirisha is constantly on a mission to bring the right way of eating and living to so many of us.
