Hi Dr. Sirisha,
I would to share my story hoping that it could help others.

I was diagnosed with 3 thyroid cysts in 2018 that are 0.75cm, 0.54 and 0.5cm in size. The doctor said that I would need a biopsy if the size grows to 1cm. Luckily, the size did not grow dramatically over time. However, this condition has always bothered me and been on back of my mind ever since it was discovered. In 2021, I switched to plant based diet. (Occasionally, I ate few NV dishes and deserts consciously as I could not give them up completely. For the most part, I was plant based though) Today, I had my thyroid scan as part of my annual check up. The cyst size reduced to 0.3cms and less. The only change I made this past year was switching to plant based diet that could have possibly contributed to this positive change. I am really thrilled and surprised by the results and extremely happy to have switched to plant based diet. Although, I did it mainly for weightloss, I am seeing other health benefits that are extremely vital. I want to take the opportunity to share my story so others could benefit and thank you for all the motivation.
