Steel-Cut Oatmeal w/ Flaxseed and Berries

Ingredients: Steel-Cut Oats, Berries, Flaxseed meal, Walnuts, any fresh fruit available (mangoes, bananas, etc.), Dates

Procedure:

  1. For one cup of steel cut oats add 3 to 4 cups of water and cook in the instapot (high pressure setting) for 10 minutes.
  2. While cooking the oatmeal add 4-5 pitted dates
  3. Release the pressure naturally from the instapot and add the berries, walnuts, fruit, etc. and enjoy!!

EAT HIGH FIBER FOODS!
Whole grains and legumes provide fiber for a healthy gut. Since the gut is a major center for immune function it’s important to keep it balanced!

Foods like Oats , Beans , whole grains , carrots , sweet potatoes and broccoli are few examples of high fiber foods. These foods also contain B vitamin and Zinc for added immune function.

The fiber in oats activates NK cells ( natural killer cells) due their high B- glucan content.
