Ingredients

Tempering/poppu/Tadka – Mustard seeds, urad seeds, chana dal, jeera

Onion

green chilli

ginger

carrots

asparagus

salt

lemon

Procedure

Dry roast mustard seed , urad and chana dhal.

Once popping is heard add jeera, onions, green chili, grated ginger, carrots and asparagus. 

You can add 1-2 Tbsp of water at a time if onions are sticking.

Dry roast for about 3 minutes and add whole wheat upma rava.

Dry roast the rava and veggies for another 3 minutes.

Add dill, boiling water and salt to taste.

Mix, close the lid and cook under low flame for about 5 minutes. 

Garnish with cilantro and squeeze fresh lime juice and serve.
