Ingredients
Biryani spices – cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, star anise
onions
green chilli
ginger garlic paste
Vegetables – carrots, beans, potato, tomato, kohlrabi, mint leaves
Over night soaked millets
water
salt to taste
Procedure
Dry roast biryani spices- like cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, star anise.
Add onions, green chili, ginger-garlic paste and dry roast adding 1-2 Tbsp water to prevent sticking.
Add carrots, beans, potato, tomato, mint leaves, kohlrabi ( nool kol/ navil kosu) , over night soaked millets ( fox tail millets used here), water and salt to taste.
Pressure cook for 3 whistles and cook in low flame for 5 minutes.
Garnish with cilantro , tomato & onions.
