Dr. Sirisha Potluri
Ingredients:
- Organic Rolled oats 1 cup
- 2-3 cups water
- Green peas carrots diced ( 2-3 cups together)
- 1/2inch ginger diced , curry leaves , green chili according to taste.
- Dry thadkha (mustard seeds, cumin seeds, channa dal, urad dal, hing optional)
- Turmeric 1/2 teaspoon
- pinch of black pepper powder
Procedure :
- 1.Toast rolled oats for 3-5 minutes until nice aroma is released and keep them aside.
- 2.Boil 2-3 cups of water , add carrots and peas once water boils in there as shown in pictures. Let them cook in water for few minutes.
- 3. While water is boiling heat a wide thick bottom pan and add dry Thadkha mentioned above and let them toast for 2-3 minutes and now add diced ginger green chili’s and curry leaves , sauté for few more minutes.
- 4. Now add toasted oats in and mix everything.
- 5. Add boiling water along with carrots and peas as shown in the picture
- 6. Cook oats for 5-7 minutes , adding salt is optional . Tastes great with lemon juice and spiced flax seed powder!
