Indian spiced Hash-browns/ cutlets

By Dr. Sirisha Potluri

Delicious Indian spiced Hash-browns/ cutlets. Made these with ingredients we had at home, we can always replace veggies and greens, but we need potatoes for binding everything together. Adding a lot of mint gave delicious taste and flavor!

Ingredients

1 cup shredded potatoes ( I used frozen from Trader Joe’s ) 2 cups organic shredded cabbage mix from Trader Joe’s, Indian spices like (turmeric, red chili powder, grated ginger, cumin seed powder, pinch of black pepper powder according to our spice level)1 big onion thinly diced and thinly chopped green chili according to your taste.1 big bunch of mint thinly chopped.1 tablespoon of flax seed powder. Add salt to taste .

Instructions

Mix everything with hand squeezing all the ingredients together . For more flavor we can add little bit chat masala too. In the place of shredded potatoes, boiled potatoes can be used too. I used sandwich maker to cook the hash browns/ cutlets. It takes 10 minutes. If you have waffle maker or panini maker those can be used too. Topped them with some avocado pieces and broccoli sprouts.
